Blending hardcore punk urgency, alternative rock melody, and hook-laden songwriting, the album captures the tension between everyday reality and chasing something bigger. Written collaboratively by the band for the first time, Chico showcases their most fully realized sound to date: big guitars, soaring leads, raw emotion, and unfiltered honesty.
Formed in 2018 by longtime friends Tony and Lance, Chico have steadily built a reputation throughout California's punk and hardcore scenes, sharing stages with bands like Death Lens, Together Pangea, Strawberry Fuzz, Spaced, and Initiate. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Taylor Hecocks and mixed/mastered by Scott Goodrich (Culture Abuse, The Story So Far), Chico is a bold statement from a band hitting its stride and a defining itself in the next chapter as a band.
