Description

Texas-based multi-instrumentalist Juan Vargas delivers a deeply introspective and sonically expansive EP with Out of Body. Blending raw, bedroom-recorded intimacy with lush, melancholic soundscapes, the five-track release explores themes of aging, guilt, and letting go. Influenced by Deerhunter, Scott Walker, Sparklehorse, and My Bloody Valentine, the EP balances hazy nostalgia with cathartic energy. Produced entirely by Vargas, with mixing by Nick Bassett (Whirr, Deafheaven), Out of Body features contributions from Jasper Byrne, almma (Mariah Munn), Steve Jonker, and Paul Kolter.
