Description

San Jose’s Summer Blue return with their debut self-titled EP, a five-song collection of moody, melody-driven power pop. Building on the momentum of their 2024 promo, the band leans into jangly guitars, wistful hooks, and a dreamy energy that recalls early 2000s coming-of-age soundtracks. The EP also features a playful take on a Smiths classic (CD only track), sitting seamlessly alongside their strongest originals to date. Written as a passion project between friends active in other Bay Area bands, Summer Blue is heartfelt, timeless pop for fans of The Sundays, Velocity Girl, and anything equally nostalgic and new.
