Stand Still is a Long Island-based melodic hardcore band that emerged in 2021 with their debut EP, A Practice in Patience. The EP features five tracks that blend hardcore punk with elements of emo and rock, delivering a sound that resonates with the complexities of personal growth and introspection. Lyrically, the band explores themes of emotional turmoil, self-reflection, and the challenges of navigating one's inner conflicts. The EP was co-released by DAZE and New Morality Zine, reflecting the band's commitment to the DIY ethos and the vibrant Long Island hardcore scene.
