JON THE MOVIE

JON THE MOVIE was a short‑lived solo project from multi‑instrumentalist Jon M. Gusman that blurred prog, garage, and DIY rock into a strange, ambitious blend. The "A Glimpse That Made Sense" EP showcased rugged compositions, sprawling ideas, and moments of virtuosic weirdness, anchored by the sprawling, comic‑inspired epic Quest for Materiality. Born out of one person’s creative overflow, the project acted as a blueprint for Gusman’s broader artistic world, melding influences from Fugazi and Smashing Pumpkins to Rush and Frank Zappa. Truly a release and sound for the outsider.
