WELCOME MAKE DO AND MEND

We are excited to welcome MAKE DO AND MEND to the NMZ roster! This announcement is especially meaningful to us, as we've shared a longtime friendship with the band. In many ways, MAKE DO AND MEND was the first band I ever helped "sign," having worked with them during the early release of "Bodies of Water" through Panic Records. To now be partnering with the band again for this next chapter feels both surreal and incredibly rewarding.

Formed in Connecticut before eventually relocating to Boston and now spread out across the U.S, Make Do and Mend became one of the most loved bands to emerge from the post-hardcore and hardcore landscape of the late 2000s and early 2010s. Through releases like "Bodies of Water", " "End Measured Mile", "Everything You Ever Loved", and 2015's "Don't Be Long", the band built a lasting connection with listeners through heartfelt songwriting, relentless touring, and a feeling of sincerity.

Following "Don't Be Long", the band continued pushing forward, but as the years passed, careers, families, and new opportunities shifted priorities. Publicly, Make Do and Mend grew quieter, eventually stepping away from the demands of being a full-time band. Yet throughout that time, vocalist James Carroll, guitarist Mike O'Toole, and drummer Matt Carroll remained connected, maintaining the friendships and brotherhood that had always been at the heart of the band.

As the years went on, that bond rekindled the spark to create together once again. Rather than relying on nostalgia, the band set out to return with a renewed sense of purpose, really determined to reflect the personal and musical growth that had taken place during their time away. The result is the announcement of "On Going", their first new album in more than a decade, alongside a series of newly announced live tours. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both the band and NMZ - a longtime friendship now culminating in a partnership dedicated to reconnecting with longtime fans while introducing Make Do and Mend to a new generation of listeners.

Check out the band on tour with supporting I Am the Avalanche on these upcoming dates.
